My attempt at a panning blurred photo. It didn't work out too well. Maybe I need a lens that can stablise in panning mode?

These buses apparently don't have a set route. I think you get on them and just ask to be taken to your destination. Needless to say they don't run with any kind of regularity.
This was the least crowded bus that we saw. Usually they were full to the rafters.

A row of scooters parked on the street in Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand.For those of you who have been to Thailand, you will know these scooters are everywhere! It can be a bit daunting for the inexperienced to cross the road with hundreds of these whizzing towards you. The secret is to step out and cross at a constant, brisk pace and the bikes will go around you. Hopefully!

Hello, is there anybody out there?
OK, I'm back from my nearly 12 month hiatus from this photo blog. I don't have any excuse for not posting for so long, it's just that I've been doing some other things and photography has unfortunately taken a bit of a back seat. I'm going to try (just like I always do after a huge break) to post more photos more often. We will see how successful I am.
About this shot. It was taken on the road leading into Willunga in South Australia. I was there to watch the Tour Down Under. I took hundreds of photos over the weekend I was there so expect to see plenty more in the coming weeks.

Guide dog puppy

This morning at the train station there was a fund raising stand for Seeing Eye Dogs Australia. There was a little Golden Lab puppy there just lounging around in the 27deg heat (at 7 in the morning!). Of course I had to say hello, have a pat and buy a little toy.
